About me.
Ryan Newhouse created the Montana Brewery Passport in 2014, about a year after his first book, Montana Beer: A Guide to Breweries in Big Sky Country, was published. He meant the passport to be a companion to his book, giving patrons a way to mark and remember the breweries they learned about from Montana Beer and then visited. He was, of course, inspired by the National Parks Passport.
His second book, Brewing in Montana, was published in 2022.
In addition to his books, he has published dozens of articles on craft beer in regional and national publications. He is a former organizer of two national beer conferences, a co-founder of Missoula Craft Beer Week, an experienced beer judge, and a certified Cicerone beer server.
